up in Montmartre . . .

near the place du Tertre, the heart of
Tourist Central.  I do remember a time
when there were artists doing
their thing in this neighborhood, but it was
still a real place (wow, I must be pretty old!).

  1. Although this spot isn’t exactly abutting the place du Tertre I decided to take a (Google Maps) spin around there to see if I could get some idea as to what you were getting at. Whew. As far as density of people is concerned it looks like that at certain times place du Tertre could give Takeshita Street in Tokyo (Harajuku) a run for its money.

I love those flower boxes above. Whatever may be below or nearby you have captured a lovely human-scale view for us. Thanks.

    1. You're so right, TG (and post duly amended). It's actually on the rue du Mont Cenis, where it meets rue du Chevalier de la Barre (so I certainly should have gotten THAT part right). Still, the whole quartier is a zoo anymore—dommage.
